Update on Project Bring All the Birds to the Yard: three little sparrows, undaunted by the storm, were pecking at the sodden brick of birdseed in my backyard.
Two flew away but the last one was stuffing his guts with seed, really hacking away at the brick.
I held Graham up to the window to watch, because this whole project was for his entertainment. But he seemed much more interested in the fresh rainy scents from outside than in the sparrow.
